Andrea Amica Chips

Andrea Romano is an Italian businessman. He is vice chairman of Amica Chips, and partner of Alfredo Moratti, founder of the company which is now a leading manufacturer of potato crisps, snacks and crisp breads.

Biography

He was born in Varese, on November 29, 1958.
After several work experiences in a number of food confectionery companies, he met Alfredo Moratti and in the 90's they came up with the idea to set-up a company called Amica Chips, a company producing potato crisps, based in Castiglione delle Stiviere, a town in the county of Mantua.
They share the same passion and enthusiasm for challenges and are determined to win over the snack market with products that differ from the others on the market, mainly focusing on quality assurance aspects.

Andrea RomanĂ² has contributed to the expansion of Amica Chips as he and Alfredo Moratti have the same passion to achieve unreachable goals which has led Amica Crisps to become a leaders in its business sector.

Curiosities

Besides his passion for his job, Andrea RomanĂ² is defined as a traveller, he is fascinated by wide open spaces which he found in Patagonia when he visited the area for the first time in 2003, a country which is far away but close to his perception of freedom.
